What is the Local Cultural Council (LCC) Program?
The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) distributes funds to local and regional cultural councils, who then re-grant funds to arts, humanities, and interpretive science projects in their own communities. Local Cultural Councils (LCCs) provide grants and programming to support culture in every Massachusetts city and town. Individuals, schools, and cultural organizations are eligible to apply for project support from their local council. LCC grant fund projects such as after school programs, concerts, festivals, lectures, theater, dance, music and film. LCC projects take place in schools, community centers, libraries, elder care facilities, town halls, parks and anywhere communities come together.
