In these tough economic times Lancaster’s Animal Control Commission is urging residents who can no longer afford their pets to find safe places for them. Please call an animal shelter or the MSPCA to arrange to drop your pets off at a place where they can be put up for adoption. It is against the law to abandon pets on the side of the road, and it is just plain wrong. If you have a pet you can no longer care for, please click

If you see a dog or cat that looks lost, please call Phyllis Tower, Lancaster’s Animal Control Officer, at 978-368-1380, and she will come pick it up and try to find its owner.
