In cooperation with the Lancaster Historical Commission and the Cemetery Department, layouts and markers have been identified on three (3) cemeteries of historical significance.

Many thanks to David E. Ross Associates for their courtesy in providing mapping and list of names for both the Old Common and Middle Cemeteries.

Information regarding grave markers for the Old Settlers' Burial Ground, Old Common Cemetery, and Middle Cemetery may be found here.

More information on the Old Settler's Cemetery is documented in "The History of Lancaster" by Abijah Perkins Marvin, published in 1879.

Within the book are inscriptions for most of the gravestones. Book is available at the Thayer Memorial Library.

For more information regarding cemetery records, or to make an appointment to be shown specific sites, you may also contact the Lancaster Historical Commission.
