Celebrate Spring! .

Happy Easter, Happy Passover and yes, it is official HAPPY SPRING!

On behalf of the CommunityEaster party Poolside! Center, I would like to wish you a wonderful spring, and a joyous Easter, and Passover.  Isn't it exciting spring is here? It really is - Big Night happened last night, then, of course,   Easter and Passover.. all in one week.Don't know what Big Night is? Or maybe you do.. then you know why our Vernal Pool walk on Thursday, April 19th is so exciting.  What is better than spring peepers and chocolate? Not much... maybe our great gift from Harvard Pilgrim Health Foundation.-Our gardens! This week we also kick off the Get Dirty Garden Spring Series. (Spring classes are weekdays but we hope to hold some all ages, kid friendly classes on Sundays. Interested? We need to know) Call us!

The Harvard Pilgrim Easter bunny brought us a treasure trove of seeds, and our Garden Shop/Shed arrives this week and we hold our first class with Sandy teaching us about bed prep and seeds. We are very pleased and excited to announce that  Sandy Reardon will be managing and teaching the Get Dirty Garden Series this year!  We are so lucky to have Sandy here! She hales from Tower Hill Botanic Garden where she taught gardening. She is very creative, and patient-thank goodness! This is the last year of our grant, so if you want to learn to how to garden, share free seeds and plants, and maybe bring some of your own.Registered gardeners get their own free garden bed, plants, classes, free exercise classes and lunches! What a great country (at least a great town). Call us to ask for a bed and get the details.  Preference to senior residents, then any age then community members!  Registered gardeners have lots of benefits and some requirements. (You must participate and share).

Anyone is welcome to come to the classes and share the learning, those 'seeds' you never lose. We welcome diners as well. More details in the newsletter and to follow.

Before March closes tomorrow make sure your dog is registered or prepare yourself for a $50 Fine (April 1st). Ouch!! Try our online bill paying system. I have used it, it is quite nice. Rabies vaccination holding you up? No problem! The annual Rabies Clinic will be Saturday at the Town Highway barn at 5/4 corners (Centerbridge Rd). Dogs and Cats welcome. Make sure you get them licensed. https://www.ci.lancaster.ma.us/home/urgent-alerts/last-day-register-dogs-march-31st-annual-rabies-clinic-saturday
