Happy Mother's Day! Some invitations, and ideas

Ah, yes a correction. Mistakes, I have made a few.
Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all nurturing souls!

Greetings,

What a lovely week! Feels like summer already, but don't fret it will be seasonably cool again this weekend. Before I share some great ideas for Mother's Day weekend allow me to confess.

I made a mistake again... an amateur one at that. The May Community Crier referenced an incorrect date for the town election. Elections are this Monday, 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. at the Old/former town hall. Be sure to vote! Volunteering to run is a big commitment and candidates, hey your town deserves a few minutes for you to vote. Absentee ballots must be requested by Friday at noon, you may email the town clerk or stop by (signature required). They will send you a ballot or you can vote in office until noon on Friday. (The only office open will be the town clerk, please save other business for regular hours posted on the website).   There are two contested races, Library trustee, and DPW.  (corrected Crier attached).

THURSDAY

Now, back to the week ahead.  Tomorrow's gardening class (Thursday)  is postponed as Sandy and I have an off site meeting. However, please let us know if you are interested in gardening. We always welcome visitors.

Lower Body Yoga Work out with Loiuse: This is a special class, requiring 'two punches'. Try it, we all benefit from a flexible, strong lower body!

Ballroom Dance! Now at 7 p.m. In the Gym. Join Jim and the gang to learn and have fun. Details see the Crier.

Friday

1 p.m Bridge

Now for Mother's Day weekend! Lots going on, something for every woman- mother out there.

Friday evening, pack a picnic and head to the 'new' Bolton common for an evening outside to watch Shakespeare's  "As You Like It" at the Robert Held Amphitheatre 6:30 by the Peter Murphy players. Peter's kid put on a great show! I am hoping for a picnic myself.

Presents: Flowering plants and shrubs are always a nice gift. Lancaster Gardens's helps support the Center and have some lovely hanging baskets, shrubs and the herb collection is very good. DiMecos is in Lancaster too, and I hear tell they have some nice things also.

Ice Cream is in season, we have two great options nearby. Kimballs right here in Lancaster and Rota Spring Farm. May I suggest Pistachio and Coconut Almond bar....

Saturday: Robin Hood comes to Lancaster! Robin Hood's Faire comes to Lancaster. Saturday is FREE for Lancaster residents. Proof of residency required, so bring your license and a utility bill.  http://robinhoodsfaire.com/

There is so much more, but for now off to enjoy the day!

Hope to see you,

Alix
