A message on behalf of our team at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs

The more you know...information regarding MassHealth renewals from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs

Good afternoon,

As you know, MassHealth began the federally required process to initiate renewals for all 2.4 million MassHealth members in 12 months on April 1, 2023. This renewal cycle is generally the first time that members will be at risk of losing their coverage since February 2020, when the federal government put temporary rules in place preventing members from losing coverage.

As we near the end of the fourth month of this initiative, MassHealth wants to emphasize: this is a marathon, not a sprint. The redetermination process will continue through April 2024 and outreach from trusted sources will remain critical to ensure members keep the best coverage benefits that they are eligible for.

MassHealth and EOEA are grateful for your continued support of members.

MassHealth has asked its partners to share the http://Phase 2 Redeterminations Outreach Toolkit with their networks. This toolkit is designed to help educate members and make sure that they are prepared for their renewal. The toolkit includes:

Key messages and http://downloadable flyers, posters, and other materials and other materials in 9 languages.

Flyers and materials for specific populations, such as members experiencing homelessness, older adults, or members with disabilities.

An updated version of the http://MassHealth Renewal Help Guide a detailed resource for anyone who is helping members with MassHealth renewals.

We hope that will continue to share these materials in your offices and centers, as well as through your own communication channels and social media to help all members receive this important information. You can learn more about the upcoming redeterminations process at mass.gov/masshealthrenew.

The three key messages to share with members:
